A few weeks ago now 2 friends and I travelled to Cambodia. It was an incredible experience. A whirlwind trip.
We spent time in Phnom Penh, exploring the city, shopping in markets, seeing the sights and taking endless trips in tuk tuks!… One of the great things we did was take a cooking class. We were taking to local food markets and then taught to make spring rolls and fish amok. AMAZING!
While we were in Cambodia we met up with a friend who has been working with young girls rescued from sex trafficking. As you scroll through these images you’ll see one which has handprints. To protect their privacy, and out of respect for the girls, we didn’t take any photos of them but these handprints belong to some of them.
There are a bunch of organisations around that rescue people out of modern day slavery and work to give them a new start at life… I’d encourage you to have a look at some of these links and how you can support and make a difference to even just one person…
